Hennessy Paradis is indeed the most sensual facet of the classic Hennessy house. Dating back to the 19th century, Hennessy Paradis is a Cognac Hors d'Age. This Cognac comes directly from Paradise, at least that's what you might think when you read the name. In fact, paradise refers to the oldest and most precious cellar of the house, where the barrels of the best eaux-de-vie are stored. In 1979, Maurice Fillioux, master of cognac, was the curator of the Hennessy Paradis. It is with this collection that the sixth generation craftsman has created what can only be described as his own symphony of notes. In this blend, tributes are obviously paid to the treasure trove of spirits that his ancestors had previously gathered. An extremely fine blend, Fillioux has combined his ear for music and 30 years of craftsmanship in fusing over 100 different eaux-de-vie to create a delicate melody of notes that will play on the taster's senses. Some of these date back as far as 1880. By assembling a structure of notes from his grandfather's rarest collection, Fillioux has created this carefully refined Cognac.
